【注意】awake是表語形容詞，不能作定語。不能用very修飾，但可以用wide或full修飾。awake的反義詞為asleep。

【辨析】die from與die of
①die from指由于外傷或不注意的原因而死，原因常來自外部，后常加名詞。
eg：His father died from an accident.他父親死于一次事故。
②die of指死于疾病、衰老、饑餓等，原因多來自內部，后加名詞。
eg：He died of sadness.他死于憂傷。
【注意】當表示因病而死亡時，二者可互換使用。
eg：He died from/of cancer.他死于癌癥。
