確切數目與不確切數目的表達：

形容詞和副詞的比較級
大多數形容詞和副詞有三個等級：
原級、比較級、最高級。
一、形容詞比較級的構成
1.構成的不規則變化:

many / much – more – most
little – less – least
far – farther / further – farthest/ furthest
2.構成的規則變化:
1) 單音節詞和少數雙音節詞一般在詞尾后加-er 構成比較級 或-est構成最高級. 如：

cold –—— colder –—— coldest
bright——— brighter———brightest
young—— younger—— youngest
2) 以字母 e 結尾的詞只加 –r 或-st 構成比較級和最高級。

形容詞的最高級
1. 用法：英語中三者或三者以上相比較，表示
“最……” 這樣的最高程度概念時，要用 “the+最高級” 的結構表示。這種句式一般帶有表示比較的介詞短語，比如: in our class, of the three 等。
例如：Wang Lin is the tallest in our class.
This theater is the cheapest of the three.
注意使用最高級時應注意以下幾點：
(1) 表示 “最……之一” 的句式，要用 one of the+形容詞最高級+復數名詞。
例如: Jingjiang Hotel is one of the biggest hotels in our city.
Lisa is not one of my best friends.
(2) 當最高級前面有物主代詞或名詞所有格時，不加定冠詞 the。
例如：Tom is Lucy’s best friend.
Tuesday is her busiest day.

最高級規則變化口訣：
最高級，很容易，一般詞尾加est。
(cheap-the cheapest)
詞尾若有啞音e, 直接就加st。

重讀閉音節, 單輔音字母要雙寫。

輔音字母加y, 記得把y變為i。
