1．When people watch the show, they usually play a role in deciding the winner. 當人們看這樣的節目時，通常承擔著決定優勝者的角色。
play a role in 表示“在……中發揮作用”。in為介詞，后接名詞、代詞或動詞-ing 形式。
e.g. He played a role in organizing the picnic last Sunday.
上周日他在籌備野餐活動中起到了作用。
It will play an active role in social development.
它將在社會發展中起積極作用。
2．However, not everybody enjoys watching these shows.
然而，并不是所有的人都喜歡看這些節目。
在英語中，all、both、every、everyone、everything、everybody、 everywhere 等與否定詞 not、no 連用時，表示部分否定。
e.g. Not everybody in our class likes watching TV.
在我們班，并不是人人都喜歡看電視。
Not all the students like English. 并非所有的學生都喜歡英語。
3. That’s up to you decide.那由你來決定。
be up to somebody 是一個習慣用語，用來表示“由某人做出決定”，句子的主語通常為it ,有時也用this或that。
e.g. How much should he pay? That’s up to him to decide!
他應該付多少錢？那由你來決定！
4. However, if you don’t take these shows too seriously, they are fun to watch.但是如果你不把這些節目太當回事，它們還是有看頭的。
take 在此處有consider(認為，覺得)的意思。
take someone/something seriously 認真對待某人或某事；
e.g. He was joking, but your sister took him seriously.
他是在開玩笑，但你姐姐卻當真了。
