現在進行時的被動語態
1 構成
肯定式：主語+am/is /are+being done.
否定式：主語+am/is /are not+being done.
一般疑問式：Am /Is /Are+ 主語+being done?
特殊疑問式：疑問詞 +am/is/are+（主語+）being done?
At present，lots of food，water，tents and medicine are being sent to the disaster-hit area.
目前，大量的食物、水、帳篷和藥品正被送往災區。［詞匯復現］
What measures are being taken to protect the endangered animals?
采取了什么措施來保護瀕危動物？［詞匯復現］
2 用法
（1）表示說話時正在進行的被動動作。
She is being examined by the doctor now. 她現在正在接受醫生的檢查。
（2）表示現階段正在進行的被動動作，說話時不一定在進行。
A new gallery is being built. 一個新的畫廊正在建造中。［詞匯復現］
（3）表示一種經常性的被動行為，常與 always，constantly，frequently 等表示頻度的副詞連用，帶有贊賞或厭惡等感情色彩。
The girl is always being praised by her teachers. 這個女孩總是受到老師的表揚。
（4）表示按計劃或安排將要發生的被動動作（僅限于少數及物動詞）。
Some classical music is being played by them next.
下面將由他們演奏一些古典音樂。［詞匯復現］
3 注意事項
（1）一些表示狀態、心理活動、擁有、存在等的動詞，如 have，want， need，love，realize 等，一般不用于進行時，因而也沒有進行時的被動語態，而常用一般現在時的被動語態表示此刻或目前主語正承受謂語動詞表示的動作。
Mary，come here. You’re being wanted on the phone. （×）
Mary，come here. You’re wanted on the phone. （√）
瑪麗，過來，有你的電話。
（2）少數動詞用于現在進行時態，用主動形式表示被動含義，如 print，cook，fry，hang，build，make 等。
The meat is cooking. 肉正煮著。
（3）“be + in /on /under + 名詞”常含被動意義，可代替現在進行時的被動語態。
The problem is under discussion now.
= The problem is being discussed now.
現在這個問題正在討論中。
（4）因為被動語態的基本結構為 be done，不少學生誤將現在進行時 的被動語態結構“am/is/are + being done”寫成一般現在時的被動語態結構“am/is/are + done”。
Look! The road is built.（×）
Look! The road is being built.（√）
瞧，這條道路正在建設中。
The dinner is prepared by Christina.（×）
The dinner is being prepared by Christina.（√）
