1. What’s the score? 比分是多少?
score此處用作可數名詞,意為“(比賽中)得分,比分,(測驗的)成績”。
e.g. The score is 2 to 1.
【拓展】score 還可用作動詞,意為“(體育比賽中)得(分)”。
e.g. Our school football team didn’t score.
2. Last week the match on TV was so boring because no one scored at all. 上周電視上的比賽很枯燥,因為根本沒有人進球。
(1) boring是形容詞,意為“煩人的;無聊的”。boring常用來修飾物,指事物本身無聊。
e.g. That was a boring film.
【拓展】
bored 形容詞,意為“感覺厭煩的,厭倦的”,通常指人的感受。
e.g. I’m bored with his story.
(2) (not) at all 意為“一點兒也(不),根本(不)”。
e.g. She doesn’t like it at all.

not at all 意為“別客氣”,常用于回答對方的感謝。
e.g. —Thank you very much.

3. So this week’s match is already more exciting. 所以這周的比賽已經令人興奮多了。
(1) already是副詞,意為“已經;早已”。
e.g. We are already late.
(2) 辨析:exciting 與excited
e.g. Everyone was excited when they heard the exciting news.
4. And I hurt my knee. 而且我傷到了膝蓋。
hurt此處用作及物動詞,意為“(使)疼痛;(使)受傷”。
e.g. The little boy fell off the tree and hurt himself seriously.
【拓展】hurt 還可用作不及物動詞,意為“感到疼痛”。
e.g. Does your right leg still hurt badly?
5. Oh, he missed! 哦,他未射中!
miss此處用作不及物動詞,意為“未擊中;未達到”。
e.g. He fired, but missed.
【拓展】miss 作及物動詞,還可意為“思念,懷念”。
e.g. I miss my old classmates very much.
6. Never mind. 沒關系。
(1) never mind 意為“不要緊;沒關系;別擔心”,用于安慰、鼓勵對方。
e.g. —We missed the train.
—Never mind. There’s another one in 20 minutes.
(2) mind作動詞時,意為“介意;討厭;反對”,后面可接名詞、代詞或動詞-ing形式作賓語,多用于疑問句或否定句。
e.g. Do you mind opening the window?
