What time is it now?
此句是由what time引導的對時間提問的特殊疑問句，問句中what當形容詞，修飾后面的名詞time；time當“時間”解時，只能用單數，不可用復數。其答句結構為：It is＋時間＋（o'clock）.
what time與when的異同：
what time與when都可以用來詢問時間，相當于漢語的“什么時候”，它們之間的異同點如下：
（1）詢問做某事的具體時間（鐘點）時，兩者可以互相替換。
eg：—What time/When do you go to school?
—I go to school at seven o'clock.
（2）詢問鐘表所顯示的具體時間時，只能用what time,而不能用when。
eg：—What time is it,Tom?
—It's half past eight thirty.
（3）詢問事件發生的年份、月份、日期等非鐘點時間只能用when,而不能用what time。
eg:—When is your birthday, John?
