描述某人過去的年齡的句型
主語+ was/were+ 數詞.
was /wəz/ v.（動詞）是
He was a student ten years ago.十年前他是一名學生。
was 是am, is 的過去式。用在過去時態的句子中。
They were young then. 那時他們年輕。
用來描述某人過去的外貌特征或性格特征的句型
主語（復數）+ was/were + 表示外貌特征或性格特征的形容詞.
此句為一般過去時的陳述句，常與表示過去的時間狀語，如then，ago 等連用。其中were 是are 的過去式。
were /wə（r）/ v.（動詞）是
They were naughty then. 他們那時淘氣。
were 是are 的過去式。用于一般過去時中，其主語應該是復數人稱或第二人稱單數。
young /jʌŋ/ adj.（形容詞）年輕的
John is a young man. 約翰是個年輕人。
