三者都有“幾乎不”之意，都具有否定意義，反意疑問句疑問部分要用肯定形式。
(1)hardly常與can，could，any 連用。

(2)hardly 一般修飾動詞，其結構為：be/助動詞/情態動詞＋hardly...
eg：His words were hardly true，were they？他的話幾乎不是真實的，對嗎？
(3)few＋n.(復數)；little＋n.(不可數)
eg：There is little milk in the glass.＝There is hardly any milk in the glass.杯子里幾乎沒牛奶了。

同義句為：We had better have our picnic at the top of the hill.
