take up 意為“開始做”，通常指開始某項工作、某個愛好等。尤其指做以前從未做過的事或作為消遣的事。
take up doing sth.意為“開始做某事”。

deal with 意為“對付；應付”。
e.g.:He has learned to deal with all kinds of difficulties.
