as a result
as a result是一個固定短語，意為“因此，結果”，表示后面句子與前面句子所表達的內容構成因果關系，前面是因后面是果。它與so可以進行轉換。如：
Tony got up late that morning. As a result, he didn’t catch the first bus.
= Tony got up late that morning, so he didn’t catch the first bus.
because
because是連詞，引導原因狀語從句。because +句子可以直接回答以why開頭的特殊疑問句。
e.g. I like playing basketball because it’s fun.
—Why is Lily crying?
—Because she can’t find her cat.
Language points
look through瀏覽
look through還有“審核，查看”的意思。
eg：My mother looks through the bills before she goes to bed every night.
我媽媽每晚睡覺前要查看賬單。
as a result結果是，因此
as a result表示結果，可作為插入語，一般 用逗號與其后面的部分隔開。但as a result of...意為“由于……的原因”，其后接名詞 或名詞性短語。
eg：He was late as a result of the heavy snow.
由于大雪他遲到了。
