2.現在進行時的被動語態表示的意義
(1)表示某事/某人此時此刻正在被……。
The criminal is being watched over by a policeman.
那名罪犯正由一名警察看守。
The bridge is being repaired.這座橋正在被修復中。
(2)表示某事/某人現階段正在被……。
Many interesting experiments are being carried out these days.
這些天許多有趣的實驗正在被進行著。(說話時并不一定正在進行)
(3)表示一種經常性的被動行為，常與always，constantly，frequently等詞連用，表示贊賞(揚)、羨慕、討厭等感情色彩。
I feel very surprised that the window of our classroom is frequently being broken.
我感到非常吃驚的是我們教室的那扇窗戶經常被打破。
(4)與部分情態動詞連用，表示對正在發生的動作的推測。
He may be being scolded by his father at the very moment.
此刻他也許正被他父親責罵。
3.現在進行時的被動語態注意要點
(1)不可遺漏being。
現在進行時的被動語態表示說話時正在進行的一個被動的動作，如果我們把being漏掉，即成為一般現在時的被動語態或系表結構。
Look！The children are being taken care of by their aunt.
瞧！那些孩子正由他們的姑媽照看著。
Children are taken good care of at school.
孩子們在學校被照顧得很好。(一般現在時的被動語態)
The report is being written by one of the best students.
報告正由一名最優秀的學生寫著呢。
The report is well written.(系表結構)
這個報告寫得很好。
(2)現在進行時的被動語態也可以表示將來。
現在進行時的被動語態有時可表示按計劃或安排將要進行的一個被動動作(此種用法僅限于少數及物動詞，如：hold，take等)。
A party is being held tonight.今晚將要舉行一場晚會。
