【教材原句】
I was looking at the photos on the noticeboard when I heard a voice behind me.
我正在看布告欄上的照片,突然聽到身后有個聲音。
【句法分析】
此句是 was doing...when... 結構,表示一件事情正在進行,這時另一件事情發生了,when 后的句子用一般過去時。
【要點必記】
be about to do...when... 剛要做……這時(突然)……
be on the point of doing...when... 剛 要做……,突然……
had just/hardly/scarcely done...when... 剛做完……,這時……
【誤區警示】
上面句式中的when 用作并列連詞,相當于just at this/that time。

【句式分析】
turning around 是現在分詞短語,作時間狀語。
【學法點撥】
現在分詞(短語)作狀語,可表示時間、原因、條件、讓步、結果或伴隨情況等,F在分詞作狀語時,句子主語是現在分詞動作的執行者,主語與現在分詞是主動關系。
(1)作時間狀語(可轉換為時間狀語從句)
Working as a volunteer teacher in the west,the girl took up growing vegetables.
在西部地區當志愿者老師時,這個女孩對種菜產生了興趣。
(2)作原因狀語(可轉換為原因狀語從句)
Being ill,she didn’t go to school as usual today.
因為生病,她今天沒像往常一樣去上學。
(3)作條件狀語(可轉換為條件狀語從句)
Turning right,you will find the place you want.
往右轉彎,你就會找到你要找的地方了。
(4)作讓步狀語(可轉換為讓步狀語從句)
