make作使役動詞的用法：
make＋賓語＋名詞“使某人/某物成為……”。

make sb.do sth.“使某人做某事”，在被動語態中，
省略的to要還原。
eg：We are often made to retell the texts by the teacher.

except

besides
除了……還有……，表示將一個或幾個人或物加到同一類中，后跟名詞或代詞
They can do it well besides me. (I can do it well.) 除我之外，他們也可以做得很好。
except for
除了……之外，說明整體情況后，對細節加以糾正，后常跟名詞
He is a good man except for his hot temper. 他是個好人，除了脾氣暴躁之外。
but
除了……之外，前面是帶有no, none，nothing，nobody等否定詞的句子
Nobody can open my diary but me. 除我之外，沒人能打開我的日記本。
