1. 條件狀語從句
當一個句子在復合句中用作狀語時叫做狀語從句。當從句表達“如果……”的意思時，叫做條件狀語從句，我們通常使用連詞if，unless來引導。
if引導的條件狀語從句可以放在主句之前，但主從句之間常用逗號隔開。if引導的條件狀語從句也可以放在主句之后，主從句之間無需用逗號隔開。
e.g. If he wants to go, please tell me.
Don’t cross the road if the traffic light is red.
unless是連詞，意為“除非；如果不”，也可以引導條件狀語從句，含有否定意義，相當于if ... not。
【注意】unless引導條件狀語從句時，如果主句是一般將來時，從句用一般現在時表將來。
e.g. We’ll go to the concert unless it doesn’t rain.
2. 讓步狀語從句
讓步狀語從句由下列從屬連詞引導：
though（雖然），although（雖然），as（盡管），even if（即使），even though（即使），no matter …（不管）等。
e.g. Although it rained a lot, we enjoyed our holiday.
The house isn’t very nice. I like the garden though.
Even though I was really tired, I couldn’t sleep.
I’ll visit him this evening even if I can stay only a few minutes.
