1.Science is so interesting!
◆so為副詞,意為“這樣,如此”,用于修飾形容詞或副詞的原級,表示程度。常見用法如下:
(1)“so+形容詞+a/an+單數名詞”相當于“such a/an+形容詞+單數名詞”。
(2)so后可接many,much,few和little來表示名詞的數量。
(3)so…that…意為“如此……以至于……”,構成結果狀語從句。
◆interesting為形容詞,意為“有趣的”,表示事物本身含有令人感興趣的因素,可作表語或定語,用于說明物。
【拓展】interested也為形容詞,意為“感興趣的”,表示人對物的感受,在句中可作表語,常用于固定短語be/get interested in“對……感興趣”。
2.Fill the dish half full with water.
half full with water為形容詞短語,在句中作狀語,表伴隨狀態。
3.Light the candle.
light為動詞,意為“點燃”,可構成短語light up“點(煙),照亮”,賓語為代詞時,應放在light與up之間。light的過去式和過去分詞為lighted/lit,lighted/lit。
【拓展】(1)light作名詞時,意為“燈,光”。
(2)light作形容詞時,意為“輕的,淺的”。

carefully為副詞,意為“細心地,認真地”,其形容詞形式為careful,意為“小心的”。care可用作動詞,意為“關心”,也可用作名詞,意為“照顧”。
