as…as…意為“和……一樣……”,用于同級之間的比較。其基本結構為:as+形容詞或者副詞的原級+as。

【拓展】(1)as…as…的否定形式為“not as/so+形容詞或者副詞的原級+as…”,表示“不如……,比不上……”。
(2)as…as…結構中可以使用以下修飾詞(組):just,exactly,not quite,half,
twice等,并且這些修飾詞(組)必須置于第一個as之前,而不能置于其后。

until意為“直到……為止”,引導時間狀語從句。until用于肯定句時,主句的動作必須是延續性的,表示這一動作或狀態一直延續到until所表示的時間為止;用于否定句時,主句的動作一般是非延續性動詞,強調表示動作或者狀態直到until所表示的時間才發生,構成not…until…結構,表示“直到……才……”。如果主句使用一般將來時態,則從句必須用一般現在時態表示將來。

【拓展】till 是連詞,意思是“直到……之時;在……之前”,通常用來表示時間,相當于until,只是語氣較弱。
