across from是介詞短語，在句中可作表語、狀語。
eg：The hospital is across from the shop.
醫院在這個商店對面。(作表語)
There is a restaurant across from the post office.
在郵局對面有一家餐館。(作狀語)
Across from the park, we can see the trees clearly.
在公園對面，我們可以清楚地看見那些樹。 (作狀語)
其同義詞組為opposite to “在……對面；和……相反”。
