知識點1
be far from 離……遠
eg：My school is very far from here.
我的學校離這兒很遠。
far作形容詞時，在句中可作表語和定語；
far作副詞時，在句中作狀語。
eg：He can jump far.他能跳得很遠。
Tom comes from a far country.
湯姆來自一個遙遠的國家。
考查how far詢問距離，問“從A地到B地的距離是多少？”的句型是“How far is it from A to B？”，回答是“It’s＋距離.”。
知識點2
so/ səʊ /作副詞，修飾形容詞。
eg：I’m so happy.我是如此開心。
so作連詞，連接兩個句子，表示因果關系。在同一個句子中，so不可與because（因為）同時出現。
eg：I get up early so I can catch the bus.
我起得早，因此我能趕上公共汽車。
There are no buses，______you’ll have to walk. （北京）

【點撥】本題采用詞義辨析法。so意為“所以”，表示因果關系，or表示一種否定條件，意為“否則”，but表轉折，意為“但是”，for作連詞時表因果關系，意為“因為”。本

like to do sth.意為“喜歡做某事”。
一般情況下，它和like doing sth.可互換使用，但兩者的側重點有所不同：like to do sth.強調具體的動作；like doing sth.則強調興趣，愛好。
eg：I like to go to the zoo.我喜歡去動物園。
I like swimming.我喜歡游泳。
