序數詞
一、定義
序數詞是表示順序的詞。
二、序數詞的構成：
(1)第一至第三單獨成詞，分別是first，second，third。
(2)第四至第十九均在相對應的基數詞后面加th，它們分別是fourth，fifth，sixth，seventh，eighth，ninth，tenth，eleventh，twelfth，thirteenth，fourteenth，fifteenth，sixteenth，seventeenth，eighteenth，nineteenth。
在這些序數詞中，特殊的有fifth，eighth，ninth，twelfth，需要我們特別注意。
(3)整十的序數詞是把對應的基數詞的個位數變為序數詞，而十位數不變。
eg：第26→twentysixth。但是個位數是1、2、3的序數詞的個位分別是first，second，third。eg：第33→thirtythird。

三、序數詞的用法：
1．序數詞前面加定冠詞the，但是當序數詞的前面有形容詞性物主代詞、指示代詞時則不必再用the。
eg：the first lesson第一節課
his second friend他的第二個朋友
2．序數詞常用縮寫形式，即阿位伯數字后加序數詞的后兩個字母。eg：第31，可以縮寫為31st。
3．序數詞可以表示“幾月幾號”中的“幾號”。eg：
10月15號 October fifteenth
