1. The students are talking about when to have a class meeting.
meeting是名詞，意為“會議，集會；會面”，作“聚會”解時,多指出于偶然的機會,在某地與某人相遇。
meeting作“會議”解時,指任何有組織的、有領導的、公開的或私下的各種集會,多在室內舉行,目的是商討議案、作出決定等。
如：The meeting will deal with these problems.
Our meeting in Beijing was later than I expected.
meeting用作主語,謂語動詞多用單數形式。 meeting前常加介詞at,表示“在會議上”; 而表示“在會議期間私下說話”則用介詞in。
2. What will happen if they have the party today?
if作為連詞，引導條件狀語從句，表示“假如”“如果”等。引導條件狀語從句最常用的連詞是if，表示在某條件下，某事很可能發生，主句不能用be going to表示將來，而應該用shall，will。
如：If you leave now, you will never regret it.
如果你現在離開，你將絕不會后悔。
if 引導的條件狀語從句，其結構為：If＋一般現在時 ，主語＋shall/will+動詞原形。要注意在狀語從句中有一個規則是“主將從現”，即主句是將來時，則從句要用一般現在時表示將來。
如：If it rains tomorrow, I shan’t climb the hills.
如果明天下雨，我將不會爬山。
