大多數形容詞副詞有三個等級：
1.原級，即原形
2.比較級,表示“較……/更……”
3.最高級，表示“最……”
adj./ adv.比較級規則變化：
1. 一般情況下，詞尾直接加er。
如：tall-taller, slow-slower, high-higher, smart-smarter
2. 以不發音的e結尾，詞尾加r。
如：late-later, nice-nicer, safe-safer, wide-wider
3. 重讀閉音節且詞尾只有一個輔音字母，雙寫該輔音字母再加er。
如：big-bigger, fat-fatter, thin-thinner, hot-hotter
4. 以輔音字母加y結尾，把y變i再加er。
如：easy-easier, funny-funnier, friendly-friendlier
