this和that的用法
1.this意為“這，這個”，用this是離得說話人的距離近； that意為“那，那個”，用that是離得說話人的距離遠。
eg. This is my pen and that is my schoolbag.
2. 在電話中， this表示打電話者，that表示接電話的對方。
eg. Hello! This is Lucy(speaking).你好，我是Lucy.
-What’s this? -It’s a pen.
It is a/an...句型的用法
What’s this?意為“這是什么？”，是一特殊疑問句，this是主語，is是系動詞，what是表語，回答特殊疑問句時，不能用Yes/ No， 即問什么答什么，尤其是簡略回答。如：What’s this? It’s a pen.這是什么？它是一支鋼筆。
在疑問句“What’s this/ that?”中，回答時不能用This/That is...，只能用It’s a/an...
