Language Points
1. — Where did you go on vacation? 你去哪兒度假了？
— I went to the mountains. 我去了山區。
這是一個特殊疑問句。由“特殊疑問詞＋助動詞＋主語＋動詞原形+其他?” 構成。
由于是詢問已發生的動作(過去的事情)，所以助動詞用過去式did，其后的動詞用原形。
► —Where did you go yesterday?
你昨天去了哪兒？
— I visited my friends.
我去拜訪了朋友。
2. I stayed at home. 我待在家里。
1）stay可以作及物動詞，也可以作不及物動詞。
當它作不及物動詞時就不能直接接賓語，其后接相應的介詞短語，表地點或表狀態。
e.g. stay in the office 繼續任職 (掌權)
stay awake 不睡 (醒著)
stay in the army 留在部隊中
stay at home 呆在家中
► We’re staying in the same hotel.
我們住在同一家旅館。
2) home與house, family的區別
home指“家”這個概念，包括“住處”和“家人”。
house則指“房子”、“住宅”，側重于建筑結構。
family則指“家庭成員”。
當family作整體概念時，謂語動詞用單數；
看作一個個成員時，謂語動詞用復數。
► I watched TV at home last night.
我昨晚在家里看電視。
► This house is very beautiful. 這房子真漂亮。
► My family is a small but happy one.
我家人不多但很幸福。
► My family are watching TV. 我的家人在看電視。
3. She visited her uncle.
①句中visit是及物動詞，后直接跟賓語，當其后接表示人的詞語時譯為 “拜訪”。當其后接表示地點的名詞時，譯為“參觀”。
e.g. visit the Summer Palace —參觀頤和園
②visit還可以作名詞“拜訪，參觀”，構成短語
pay a visit to…/be on a visit to…譯為“訪問（某人）”“參觀（某地）”
