Language points
1. arrive 到達= get (to)
1) arrive 后面可以不跟到達的地點。
Don’t arrive late for school. 不要上學遲到。
2) arrive后面也可以跟到達的地點。但后面
必須要跟介詞in (大地方)或 at(小地方)。
They arrived in Beijing at six.他們六點鐘到的北京。
We usually arrive at the village in the morning.我們通常在早上到那個小村莊。
2. listen 的用法:
1) listen 聽;用來提醒某人注意,后面不跟事物。
Listen! Who’s singing in the classroom?
聽!誰在教室里唱歌?
2) 如果后面跟要聽的事物,應跟介詞to再跟事物。
Listen to our teacher carefully.
認真聽老師講。
hear, listen和sound都有“聽”的意思,
但三者是有區別的。
1) hear “聽說” , 側重于“聽” 的內容。例如:
I’m sorry to hear that you are ill.
聽說你生病了,我很難過。
I never heard such an interesting story.
我從來沒聽過這么有趣的一個故事。
2) listen“聽” 側重于“聽”這一動作。例如:
Listen to me carefully. 認真聽我說。
Children like to listen to music.
孩子們喜歡聽音樂。
3) soun“聽起來”,它是系動詞,后面接形容詞等。
例如:
That sounds great. 那聽起來真不錯。
It sounds like fun. 聽起來挺有趣。
3. fight 打架,爭吵
1) 作動詞用:
Jack never fights with his brother. 杰克從不和他的弟弟打架。
2) 作名詞,意為“打架;爭吵”; 常用詞組have a fight,意為 “打架;吵架”。
Did you have a fight with her? 你和她吵過架嗎?
4. --What are the rules? 規則是什么?
--Well, we can't arrive late for class.
哦,我們上課不能遲到。
1) rule規則,可數名詞,構成的短語有:
obey the rules 遵守規章
be against the rules
break the rules
school rules 校紀 = the rules of the school
class rules 班規 = the rules of the class
※ rule還可以用作動詞,意為“統治,支配”。
e.g. The king ruled the country 500 years ago.
500年前,國王統治著這個國家。
2) late “遲, 晚” (形容詞或副詞)
e.g. Why are you late? 你為什么遲到?
Sorry, I come late. 對不起,我來晚了。
be late for+n. (對)……遲到
e.g. Don’t be late for work / class /meeting.
上班/上課/開會別遲到。
