一、條件狀語從句
If I start after dinner, I’ll finish it before I go to bed.
翻譯：如果我在晚飯后開始，我將在我睡覺前完成它。
If you do all these other things instead of your homework, you won’t have time to study.
翻譯：如果你老是做與學習無關的事情，那么你就沒有時間學習。
He thinks something will go wrong if I play games on it.
翻譯：爸爸覺得如果我在電腦上玩游戲的話，電腦就會出毛病。
1. 用法:
如果 if 引導的從句表示某種假設的情況，主句則表示此種情況所導致的結果。
2. 主句與從句時態的問題:
(1)“主將從現”
if 引導的條件狀語從句，若主句用一般將來時，從句用一般現在時。
e.g. If he runs, he’ll get there in time.
如果他跑步去，他就會及時趕到那兒。
(2)“主情從現”
if 引導的條件狀語從句，若主句中有情態動詞時，從句用一般現在時表示將來。
e.g. If it stops snowing, we can go out.
如果雪停了，我們就可以出去。
(3)“主祈從現”
if 引導的條件狀語從句，若主句是祈使句，從句用一般現在時。
e.g. If you have an exam, be careful.
如果你要考試，要仔細。
