1. cough n. 咳嗽 v. 咳嗽

2. fever n. 發燒；發熱
【相關短語】
have / get a fever 發燒；
have a high / low fever 發高燒（低燒）
eg: She had / caught a high fever last night.
她昨晚發高燒。
3. headache n. 頭痛
head（頭）+ ache( 疼，痛）組成復合名詞。
類似構成的詞語還有:
toothache (牙疼);
headache (頭疼);
backache (背疼) 等。

eg: He had a headache yesterday. 他昨天頭疼。
4. since prep. & conj.自……以來
since 可作介詞或連詞，意為“自……以來”，后接表
示過去的某個時間點的名詞或名詞短語，以及使用
一般過去時的句子，表示一段時間，常用于完成時態。
eg: She has worked here since 1992．
自從1992 年以來她就在這兒工作。
He has taught us since he came to our school.
自從他來到我們學校就一直教我們。
5. health n. 健康
health是不可數名詞。
其形容詞形式是healthy (反義詞：unhealthy)；
副詞形式是healthily。

be in good health 很健康;
be in bad/ poor health 不健康。
6. ill adj. 不健康的；有病的
ill 在句中只能作表語，不能作定語。
【相關短語】 fall ill 患��；be ill in bed 臥病在床
【拓展】sick也可表示“生病的”，
在句中既可以作表語又可以作定語，
如“病人”可以說a sickman 或 the sick；
但不能說 an ill man 或 the ill。
eg: She is ill / sick in bed.她臥病在床。
She is looking after her sick father.
她在照顧她生病的父親。
語法總結
現在完成時
1. 現在完成時定義：也可以表示某一動作從過去一直延續到現在。
e.g. Jane has kept the book for three days.
簡已經借這本書三天了。
The boy has had the bike since last Sunday.
自從上周五，這個男孩就買了這輛自行車。
2. 現在完成時的時間短語：
for和since時間短語是現在完成時的常用時間短語，是現在完成時的標志。
for后面加時間段，表示一段時間。
例如：for two weeks
for one month
since后面加時間點，表示自……以來。
例如：since last week since 2008
注意：對for和since時間短語提問用how long。
